Accessibility
Book Driving Test.UK is designed to help people find test-centre information, use free alerts and follow the setup guides in a way that works for them.
Finding your way around
- Use the Tab key to move between links, buttons and form fields. A clear outline shows where you are.
- Use “Skip to main content” at the start of a page to pass the navigation. This link appears when you use the keyboard.
- Device guides can be selected with the keyboard. The left and right arrow keys move between device tabs.
- Pages use headings and named sections to help screen-reader navigation. Link names describe their visible purpose.
Videos and motion
The overview starts muted when it is in view. You can pause it, turn sound on or open it on YouTube. English captions and written setup steps are available. If your device requests reduced motion, the overview offers manual playback.
Maps and third-party players
You can scroll the page with one finger over a map and use its + and − buttons to zoom. The test-centre search and directory also provide a text alternative to the map. Embedded maps and YouTube players have their own controls and may behave differently across browsers and assistive tools.
